Student Access to Records

The student (or parent or guardian if the student is a dependent minor) has the right during normal business hours to schedule an appointment to review the records in their files. Before educational records are disclosed to third parties, written consent from the student or if the student is a minor (under 18) from a parent or guardian is required. Education records are defined as files, materials and documents that contain the information directly related to a student and maintained by the institution. Students are not entitled to inspect the financial records of their parents.

With the exception of the National Accrediting Commission of Career, Arts and Sciences or government agencies so authorized by law; NO information will be released to any unwarranted third party for any reason without prior written authorization from the student or parent of a minor student unless it is in the case of an audit or review by a representative of the State, the Federal Government, Auditing Officials, or members of the Accrediting Agencies. All student files will be maintained for ten years.

All student files are maintained and kept in fire retardant locked file cabinets in a locked area.
