SUMMARY:Infection Control Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This 2 day\, 10 hour course focuses on Nail Salon Ecology providing basic understanding of Microbiology\, Infection Control\, Safety and First Aid with State Board Requirements of each. Also covered is Nail Physiology focusing on Diseases and Disorders. There will be several hands-on demonstrations focusing on Sanitation and Disinfection of Implements and salon equipment\, including Pedicure tubs and Blood Exposure Procedures. This is a 2 day Workshop (Saturday 9-2/Sunday 9-12)  and dates to hold the class are determined as needed. There is an written exam with a required passing grade of 75% or greater at the completion of the workshop in order to receive certification. \n*Minimum attendees required to hold class is 2 \n*MUST be signed up 2 weeks prior to class \n*Must have State ID (driver’s license) and Professional License to show at beginning of class. You can not attend class without these 2 items \n*No Credit or Refund will be issued if you fail to attend the class \n*Additional hours may be added if needed for an additional fee \nEvent time & day:  \nSaturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm   \nSunday:  9:00 am – 1:00 pm  \nInstructor: Melissa Dinsmore \nMissy is the lead Nail Instructor at American Academy of Health & Beauty. She has been a Nail Technician since 2015 and became an instructor shortly thereafter. Missy also owns an in-home based nail spa\, Sugarcoat\, where she enjoys providing quality nail care services that keep guests coming back. She specializes in nail art and is CND certified in Shellac\, acrylic\, and gel application. As an instructor\, she believes learning should be fun. Her goal is to teach every aspect of nail application\, sanitation\, and the latest in nail trends while building proficiency\, skill\, and an understanding of the importance of attitude enabling students to have a long\, successful\, and fulfilling career in the nail industry. \nTuition: $890 \nTo register for workshops: info@myaahb.com
